When there is a deep desire for true peace, we will experience the best of ourselves, and the worst of ourselves will also surface.
The best of ourselves is the awareness that we are the immovable space in which everything, including thoughts, sensations, and circumstances, are seen as passing movements.
The worst of ourselves is the hidden fear, the thoughts with which the mind still identifies.
However, in the worst of ourselves, paradoxically, we are offered the opportunity to completely surrender and ignore the mind so that we can rest in the BEST of ourselves, which is PERMANENT; it always has been, is, and always will be. We can call it peace, love, God, and although we can call it whatever, why not stop giving it names and enjoy the DIRECT EXPERIENCE of what it is like to live without believing anything the mind tries to sell?
That is the present experience, that is the "goal." That is, "returning" to the place we NEVER LEFT. And that experience of peace, of happiness that is taking place RIGHT NOW, is overlooked when attention goes to whatever the mind is fabricating.
If one doesn't believe the content of the mind, the obvious becomes evident. And what is the obvious? Again, the PRESENT EXPERIENCE.
And that experience is ALWAYS peace, it is ALWAYS happiness.
Ignore the mind and verify the truth shared with these words. -Yours truly😊
